Please apologize to post in English but I don't speak German. :( Use online translators to write won't do justice to you - although I use them to read throughout this forum. :)

Carsten, your truck looks really nice! :ok As we PM before I am building a Ford Wrecker based on Jerr-Dan HDL 700/350 35 Ton Independent like this:

Does your winch works? If positive is this remote operated (Tx)? Hand build?

I would appreciate any help from model builders here to get it build. A Tamiya Aeromax already had its sleeper cut off. The wrecker will be made based on Wedico's tandem axle wrecker widened to fit.

Cheers! :prost

Hello Henry,

it is not a problem, that you post your questions in english.

The winch is fully functional. I can operate it from my tranceiver. I am using a electronically speed-.controler for that. It is the same, that I´m useing for the speed-control. When the truck is not in motion I can switch, with the help of a servo, the motor-wires to the ones of the winch. The advantage of this solution is, that you only need one speed-controler.

I have taken the winch out of another rc-model (It is designed for kids). It was a Unimog U 300 type. This model is a nice toy to convert it to real proportional rc-models.

Take a look at: http://www.modelltruck.net/showthread.php?t=17238

When tomorrow the wheather will be fine, I try to make a little video of the winch in motion and wrecking of other vehicles.

The Aeromax that your are building is kind of a very hard & heavy one. I would be very happe, when you can show us more of your project.

If you want to post pictures, please size them down to 640x480 pixels. Someone here are using modems. What is a modem... :hfg

regards

Carsten

Die Amphibie scheint aber ganz schön schwer zu sein, so wie der Max beim anheben in die Knie geht...
Sieht gut aus!

Carsten, the video is very nice and the music is great too. Not to mention the opening comments (producer).:cool

It was nice to see the Aeromax kneel when towing the amphibious car!:trucker

As you requested, I'll take some pics to share with you now.

Cheers!:prost

Moving on

Hi guys!

I've been out for a while, traveling abroad and also making some changes on my "garage". Had to buy a new work bench and everything is a little messy around here. Right now just got the reinforced metallic base for it. Still need to receive the workbench table and shelfs, hopefully this monday. Therefore projects had a stop but will move on again this week. :D

Below are some pics of changes on my Aeromax (not much, have to admit).

Also some of my other trucks already assembled. The boxes of Aeromax, MB 1850, King Hauler, MFU, Tanker, Box Trailer and all parts inside the cabined still have to be assembled on their respective unassembled truck/trailer. :p

Here is a view of how my "playground" looks right now:

And here is a picture of other 3 trucks already assembled. The Knight Hauler and Globeliner are fully loaded. The MB and Wrecker Aeromax will have the old Sound Unit and Light Kit due to space restrictions. The King Hauler and MB1850 will have MFU. The remaining Aeromax (NIB) maybe will go for sale:

hallo Carsten,

Hast du in der Seilwinde noch den original Motor???

Aeromax Upgrades

Here are some pictures of a mock up of Wrecker Aeromax. The Wedico wrecker will have new sidepanels made in aluminum (a friend will help me on that) following the cartoon lines.
