Diverse Hersteller DAF 8x8 Roll-off tipper

Dear Truckers!


I build a DAF 8x8x Roll-off tipper.
I use:

Oßwald (Premacon) frame 545mm,
Oßwald suspension system front and rear and
Wedico DAF SC Cab.

I don't decide what I'm going to use of axles, AFV or some Manufacturer.
If somebody can help,thank you. Important is diff. lock.

Hi Peter

Regarding axles, AFV, Scaleart, Ruest & Wedico manufacture axles.in the past i relied on Scaleart & Ruest and would recommend them.

For your final choice bring the gearset & transmission into consideration to have a proper balance between power & speed.

Rüst has a diff lock axles or not? I looked many peoples use a Rüest axles but I didn't look never a diff lock on pictures.

I have a toypark in my Garden, and first important thing the power.

I would like to use a Veroma 3speed gearbox and distributor gear.

Hi peter

The ruest axleswith diff seem to be in "controlled availability"- as you said, most axles being in use from ruest are without diff.

I used the verome gearbox before, but wouldnt do it again. Main reason is size: the scaleart transmission&gearbox are much smaller in size and causes less headache, if space is limited.

But, like in most cases: both axles, transmission, etc are up to individual decisions and preferences.

Hi friends!

Slowly, slowly but I finished the truck.

I choosed AFV axles with diff lock. Perfect axles.

I build into the truck:

ScaleArt gerbox 8x8 duty,
ScaleArt tank with pump.
Gewu lightplates,
Servonaut M20+
Servonaut SM7
Servonaut MFX
cTi Ps4a,
Premacon exhaust,
Leimbach roll on/off tipper.

I tried an other Cab, but I remain DAF cab.





I'm waiting connection elements from Premacon, because I will change some rubber tube tometal pipes few places.

I finished with paint.
Frame is Ral 7021, cab is original Wedico black, container is Ral 5002.

I have a probleme with gearbox. First was not good because Faulhauber motor shaft wasn't center. I sent back to ScaleArt. Seconds is very loud.
I don't know thats ok. I didn't hear other ScaleArt transmission. I will trying rubber between frame and gearbox holder.

For the gearbox noise: we ("club") have mixed experiences: some arent noticeable at all, but my colleague has a very noise one as well :/

I changed hydraulic pipes.







Electronic units are in subframe except soundmodule. I was covered with aluminium plate for optimal cooling. Servonaut M20+ is heats up.

Thanks! I need some Items making: exhaust pipe from motor to muffler, box to valves, steps between A and B axles.
And I will change the oil from HP22 to HP32. If I load full (8kg) the container after I didn't hook up.
