What about this one:

It is sold by Leimbach and it costs about 150 Euro including moter and small parts. I use it in my excavator ( liebherr 954) and im very satisfied. The moter is very strong and its quality is very high. It is also sold in the states. U´ll find the order informations on the HP.

Sorry for my bad english, but i havn´t been speaking for a long time. If I told anyone that I graduated in english some years ago; this person would laugh.

Oh, thank you so much Ulrich, that just made my day the information you just gave me. Thank you:prost To control the moter I should just use a standard robbe speed control right?

Can you also give me the product # of the part so i can find it on there preliste?

As far as i know, there is no separate product-# on the price list of Leimbach for the parts shown above.

Best, you give a call to Leimbach. I'm sure he'll combine everything you need with a good price.

And - his advices are free of charge !

Bobcat is right. This rotating base has no own product id. it´s a part of the leimbach excavator, but at leimbach u can buy everything seperatly. If u want to use another moter, the rotating base alone costs about 70,- euro. The faulhaber moter is relatively expensive, but it´s also one of the best.
yes u can use any speed control to control the motor. The faulhaber runs best with 12V so the controler should be able to handle this. but it´s also no problem to run him with 7,2V, although it isn´t that strong then. I´m running him at 12V and i´m not able to prevent my excavator from rotating by my muscles and i´m not that weak.
At least i´d also give u the advice to call mr.leimbach or the office in the states. he knows everything about excavators and their technique. so u can pretend having problems at the end of ur project. he´s a very friendly person an gives always a helping hand if he´s able to.

Which kind of excavator are u planing to build?
Perhaps i can help u with some product informations.

Hi, thanks for all of the info, it is really greatly appreciated.:prost Ulrich Geiger ~ I am either planning on building one of two Caterpillar excavators. Caterpillar is my favorite construction company and always will.:bl I will be building a more modern truck like the 330 CL , 325 CL or the 322 CL. Decisions decisions??? Those are the modern ones. I also have a toy excavator that I got a long time ago and is made from the company of newbright. I think it is already in 1:16 scale so if I made that one in alluminum I would just have to take the measurements off of it:) The pictures of it are below on my community picture page down below.

Oh and one more thing, I can also get the moter from leimbach too, right???:frage

One more thing that has to do with electronics, Since I can buy these parts individualy like the rotating base and cylinders, would I also be able to buy the leimbach speed control for there tracked vehicles? I am trying to find 1 speed control that can control both tracks but cant seem to find any except the leimbach one. I would rather have one unit than two seperat ones. Thx for any info.:prost :hfg

As far as I know, Leimbach sells two special speed controls for excavators. One is for the tracks (?). U can control both moters by this one controler. I must say that i don´t have any experience with steering an excavator this way.
The other one was made for the rotating base. it allows a rotation of 720 degree what prevents that the cables that are going down to the moters of the tracks don´t get damaged.

In u´r place i´d give mr.leimbach a call, because he can help u better than i or perhaps anyone here. Than u could also discuss the length of the cylinders. Or call the office in the states to save the money of the call for ur cylinders, cause they won´t be that cheap.

www.servonaut.de also sells solutions of speed controls for excavators. As far as i know it´s called D20T. This product is more than a simple speed control. it´s also able to control lights, sounds, etc. But i neither have any experience with tis one.
In my excavator i use thre lrp truck digital 12V for the rotating base and the tracks, cause i don´t have any lack of space and im very satisfied.

It´s an offíce from leimbach in the states or someone who´s responsible for the import. I think they can help u as well as mr.leimbach an they talk in u´r motherlanguage (?).

U´ve gotta know that leimbach is just a small family company, so don´t wonder if there aren´t as much employees that might speak english.

A dios!

When i visited them, there where three : Mrs. & Mr. Leimbach and an employee.
